PRESS RELEASE: Brussels, BE – September 2013 – September sees the brand new launch of ArKaos GrandVJ 2, the latest version of the highly successful ArKaos GrandVJ software for VJs, DJs, clubs and musicians.
The new software brings sparkling new features that answer the demands of customers in the forefront of the action. Two versions are available: GrandVJ 2 and GrandVJ XT which includes a VideoMapper feature.

ArKaos, the leading provider of technology for live visual performances, has chosen Prolight & Sound Frankfurt to announce the formation of a new division - ArKaos Pro.
ArKaos Pro has been formed specifically to serve the large-scale, professional level show and lighting projects which now dominate much of the ArKaos client base. The new division will operate alongside the existing ArKaos organization.
“We have formed Arkaos Pro in acknowledgement of how ArKaos has grown and developed since its start,” says business development manager, Agnes Wojewoda. “ArKaos products have evolved into far more sophisticated solutions over the past years as our software has continued to stretch boundaries and our client base diversified.”
ArKaos has released GrandVJ 1.6.5, a new version of its famous real-time video mixer with features that bring out the VJ in everyone.
ArKaos GrandVJ 1.6.5 introduces Scratch Control support for DJ-style MIDI controllers with jog wheels, to bring DJs another step further into the VJ world. Two new slider widgets control the sensitivity of the scratch and the scratch itself.
Updated Mapping Templates
ArKaos has added templates with feedback support for the new American Audio VMS4.1 and VMS2 MIDI controllers in a move designed to give a DJ-style feeling while mixing video with these controllers. It has also updated the mapping templates for the Hercules DJ Control series to take advantage of this new Scratch Control feature.
ArKaos will be well represented at NAMM 2012 by appearances in no less than three locations: the American Audio, American DJ and Elation Lighting Booths.
GrandVJ at American Audio - Booth #6330
American Audio staff will demonstrate the capabilities of ArKaos GrandVJ, the real time video mixer software, in a dedicated display area on the American Audio booth (#6330), using a Plasma screen, MAC computer and the new American Audio VMS2 MIDI controller. ArKaos engineers are currently working on a midi map for the VMS2, for which American DJ will make a special GrandVJ "skin". Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to try out the GrandVJ for themselves and put their questions to knowledgeable and experienced operators.
ArKaos, leading provider of technology for live visual performances, is very happy to announce that, following its successful launch at PLASA 2011, the revolutionary ArKaos Kling-Net protocol has been adopted into two new LED lighting fixtures from Chauvet.
Released at LDI 2011, the pixel-based fixtures are the first in Chauvet’s burgeoning new Epix range, which are to be operated exclusively by Kling-Net.
ArKaos reports a successful PLASA with the launch of its new protocol, Kling-Net and a celebratory dinner for its distributors at the prestigious Dorchester Hotel.
Officially launched on the stand at a well-attended press call, Kling-Net is a new protocol designed to allow the distribution of real-time video data to remote display devices, such as LEDs or LED panels, over Ethernet. ArKaos CEO Marco Hinic explained, "We don’t want people to feel trapped by technology and are working with leading lighting desk manufacturers to make ArKaos products even more accessible and easy to use. Kling-Net is a major step forward in this about which we are very excited."
